Serdang, 30 August - On 20 and 21 May 2023, the Volunteering and Mobility Secretariat organized a program based on internationalization, the Connect Beyond Homeland Mobility 2.0 program in collaboration with foreign universities, from Ataturk University, Turkey and Soka University, Japan.

 

 

This program, which has been implemented virtually, aims to provide space for UPM students to improve their quality of communication and develop their critical thinking by exchanging opinions with students from the universities involved. It is hoped that the Connect Beyond Homeland Mobility 2.0 program will be able to achieve the goal of creating and increasing the marketability of graduates by ensuring that each participant can fully develop human skills such as the ability to communicate and interact with foreign students and the confidence to convey ideas.

 

This program was attended by 18 committee members from Tan Sri Mustaffa Babjee College (UPM), 10 participants from Tan Sri Mustaffa Babjee College, 10 participants from Ataturk University, Turkey and 10 participants from Soka University, Japan. Among the main activities that have been carried out are the opening ceremony, language sharing sessions, culture, festivals and campus life as well as the experience of participating in the mobility program between participants.

 

 

Many thanks to the committee members and participants of Tan Sri Mustaffa Babjee College, participants from Ataturk University, Turkey and Soka University, Japan as well as all parties involved especially Media Putra for making this Connect Beyond Homeland Mobility 2.0 program a success. Hopefully this program can have a positive impact on UPM students to build good social relationships with students from abroad as well as hone communication skills and increase self-confidence when interacting with the public.
