Chenor, Pahang, 5th July 2025 – The AgriImpact; Bound to Society 3.0 programme, held on 18 May 2025 at Kolej Vokasional (Pertanian) Chenor, successfully created an interactive and practical learning space for participants to explore sustainable agriculture and livestock practices. The programme was organised by the Secretariat of Green Sustainability and Food Security, Student Representative Council of Kolej Tan Sri Mustaffa Babjee (KTMB), UPM, session 2024/2025, with support from UCTC, the Student Affairs Division, and college management.
A total of 130 students participated, comprising 30 from KTMB and 100 from KVPCH. As a continuation of AgriVenture: Bound to Society 2.0, this programme focused on knowledge-sharing and field exposure related to modern agriculture and food security.
The first session was delivered by Mr. Muhammad Hazziq bin Mohd Hamdan, Assistant Agriculture Officer, UCTC UPM, who discussed sustainable farming, livestock productivity strategies, and the challenges of ensuring national food security. Participants were actively engaged during the Q&A session.
Several green-themed exhibition booths were also set up, highlighting topics such as food waste management, biodiversity conservation, and eco-friendly lifestyles. Interactive activities, including environmental quizzes and agriculture-themed challenges, helped enhance participants’ understanding in a fun and engaging setting.
The programme continued with field visits to KVPCH’s agricultural sites, including quail farms, freshwater fish ponds, and cattle and goat barns. Participants also received detailed briefings on the quail processing chain from slaughtering and feather removal to packaging—providing a real-world view of the food value chain.
The programme was officiated by YBrs. Ts. Anuar bin M Lela, Director of KVPCH, and concluded with a group photo and token of appreciation ceremony. According to Programme Director, Tengku Maryam Binti Tengku Aziz, “We believe experiences like this provide valuable learning beyond classroom walls. We hope this programme sparks greater interest in agriculture among students through a more holistic and competitive approach.”
Overall, the programme successfully offered comprehensive exposure to the potential, challenges, and realities of today’s agricultural world.
