SERDANG, Oct 10 – Total of 412 new students consisting of 102 male and 310 female students have successfully enrolled at UPM's Tan Sri Mustaffa Babjee College on October 5, 2024 for the admission of new students to Universiti Putra Malaysia for the 2024/2025 academic session in collaboration with the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, WAZAN, and the Student Affairs and Alumni Division, UPM. The new student registration ceremony which was held on the grounds of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences UPM went smoothly without any technical problems.
The registration process began as early as 8.00 am and ended at 4.30 pm was attended by students from various backgrounds and nationalities. The arrival of parents was welcomed by staff consisting of college staff, fellows, College Representative Council (MPK) and University facilitator(FU) who were instructed to assist throughout the registration process.

Kolej Tan Sri Mustaffa Babjee took the initiative by distributing reference materials such as information flyers on check points that can be used as a guide for students during the registration process. Flayers aims to provide guidance on registration counters, student residence blocks, food stalls, as well as facilities and facilities provided such as toilets and surau for the use of beneficiaries and new students. Not only that, as the host of the College, Tan Sri Mustaffa Babjee also provided free food and drinking water to new students and parents in the waiting tent.

Principal Of The College Tan Sri Mustaffa Babjee, Associate Professor Dr. Nurul Hayah Khairuddin, in her speech welcomed the arrival of new students and stressed the importance of academic excellence as well as involvement in co-curricular activities.
In the evening, there was also a ceremony with the principal at the main lecture hall, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences for the introduction of management to new students regarding the organization of college administration, staff ranks, fellows ranks, college Representative Council ranks, facilities and facilities, and most importantly the rules of students staying at residential colleges of Universiti Putra Malaysia.
In general, the college houses students from the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences as well as the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in particular. In total, there are 4 blocks of student residential buildings, namely Block A, Block B and C for female students and Block D for male students.
For your information, on June 26, 2022, the renaming of Seventeen College to Tan Sri Mustaffa Babjee College was in honor of the late Tan Sri Ahmad Mustaffa Babjee. The name change is an initiative taken by the UPM management in an effort to rebrand the names of residential colleges inspired by the names of prominent figures related to the field of study of students.
Throughout the week, new students will take part in an orientation week called Perkasa Putra week which is designed to help them adapt to the university environment, including briefing sessions, orientation activities, and campus visits.
The Tan Sri Mustaffa Babjee College is very pleased to receive positive feedback from parents and students regarding the college and the services provided have managed to steal the hearts of visitors who come to the college.
