Kolej Tan Sri Mustaffa Babjee (KTMB) – On 13 and 16 November 2025, Kolej Tan Sri Mustaffa Babjee successfully organized the JIWA PUTRA @ KTMB: Stay Aware, Fight Exposure (S.A.F.E) College program, led by the Secretariat of Residence and Welfare, Majlis Perwakilan Kolej (MPK), KTMB. The program was held within the college grounds as an initiative to enhance students’ awareness of health issues and environmental safety.
On 13 November 2025, the program commenced with a talk titled “Silent Threats: Dengue and Leptospirosis”, officiated by the Principal of KTMB, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nurul Hayah binti Khairuddin. The session was delivered by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rahmat bin Dapari and successfully attracted 355 participants. Despite the limited space of the venue, the session proceeded smoothly and provided meaningful insights into the dangers of dengue and leptospirosis as well as preventive measures.
On 16 November 2025, the program continued with a gotong-royong (community clean-up) activity around the college compound. A total of 40 students participated in the activity, which aimed to improve environmental cleanliness, eliminate potential vector-breeding sites, and cultivate a sense of volunteerism among students. The activity demonstrated strong teamwork and highlighted the students’ commitment to maintaining a clean and safe campus environment.
The S.A.F.E College program is hoped to serve as a continuous effort to strengthen students’ awareness of hidden health threats and the importance of environmental hygiene. It is further hoped that similar programs can be expanded in the future with greater student involvement, contributing towards building a healthier, more responsible, and community-oriented college environment.
