AUGUST 2022 - In conjunction with the celebration of Malaysia's 65th independence month, Tan Sri Mustaffa Babjee College also responded to the call to fly the Jalur Gemilang that was installed around the college from 3 August 2022 to cultivate and express a sense of patriotism to celebrate independence day soon.

In addition to promoting the month of independence, the ICT and Publication Secretariat also held competitions and programs in conjunction with the month of independence which has been ongoing from August to September. Among the programs that will be held are Independence Trivia Quiz, Creative Tik Tok Video Competition, Malaysian Traditional Fashion Show, and Independence Bright Instrument Performance competition themed 'MALAYSIAN FAMILY'. Open to all KMB students and college merit is given to participants to foster the spirit of patriotism.

Patriotism is also not just a passion, but it is something great involving confidence, loyalty, citizenship, courage, independence, identity and sovereignty. Therefore, every student and citizen of Tan Sri Mustaffa Babjee College should instill a high love of country.

Nationalism is a movement to create a more open society in order to obtain individual happiness, to guarantee the independence of citizens and free the intellect and mind. In other words, nationalism is a spirit.

Also like at College Tan Sri Mustaffa Babjee, the culture of multiple religions, races, languages ​​among students can give rise to a spirit of nationalism. Through those elements as well, it is able to create a spirit that can give birth to a new identity for the colonized soul. The spirit of nationalism can also create a feeling of unity between students and citizens of University Putra Malaysia.
