May 21, 2025, Serdang – The Entrepreneurship Secretariat of Tan Sri Mustaffa Babjee College (KTMB) successfully organized the KTMB Night Market Program for the 2024/2025 session. This physical event was held at the Block B parking lot of Tan Sri Mustaffa Babjee College. The program was designed not only to generate income for the college through vendor rental fees but also to provide students with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in entrepreneurship. By engaging directly in buying and selling activities, managing stalls, and interacting with customers, students were allowed to apply business knowledge and communication skills in real-life situations.

The program attracted participation from a variety of vendors and received an overwhelmingly positive response from students, with a total attendance of 1,106 students from various colleges. Students were not only present as visitors but also actively participated as vendors. A total of three groups, comprising students from KTMB and College 10, joined the program as stallholders.

The highest student turnout was recorded in the late afternoon, particularly after 5:00 p.m. classes had ended, while the night session saw slightly fewer crowds. Nevertheless, both the afternoon and evening sessions provided a lively atmosphere. A wide variety of food and goods were offered, including popular snacks such as Baghdad bread, Takoyaki, fruit salad and others, which were major attractions for students. Besides food, there were also stalls run by KTMB and College 10 students selling decorative items like flower arrangements and offering services such as shoe cleaning.

Program atmosphere at night
Overall, the KTMB Night Market successfully achieved its objective as an entrepreneurship program, serving as a platform for students to gain valuable knowledge and practical experience in business, while also fostering interaction between the college community and external vendors. This initiative further enlivened the entrepreneurial spirit on campus.

It is hoped that this program will be the beginning of more student entrepreneurship initiatives in the future. In addition to generating revenue for the college, this program also contributes to the development of students’ character, helping them to become more confident, competitive, and well-prepared to face the real world.
