Puchong, 3rd January 2026 - The Sports and Recreation Secretariat of the College Student Representative Council, Kolej Tan Sri Mustaffa Babjee (KTMB) for the 2025/2026 session successfully organised the Whispers of the Wild programme at the Sultan Idris Shah Forestry Education Centre (SISFEC), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). The programme was conducted as an initiative to cultivate environmental awareness while strengthening students’ character through nature-based experiential learning.

The programme took place from 5.00 p.m. to 11.00 p.m., involving KTMB students who were keen to engage in direct learning experiences within a forest environment. Throughout the programme, participants were exposed to various nature-themed activities designed to test their physical and mental endurance, while simultaneously instilling discipline, leadership skills, and teamwork.

The implementation of this programme provided participants with valuable insights into the importance of maintaining ecological balance and the responsibility of individuals in preserving the natural environment. The activities emphasised not only physical challenges but also encouraged critical thinking, effective communication, and responsible behaviour among the participants.

The Whispers of the Wild Programme also demonstrated a high level of commitment and active participation among the students in completing the planned activities. This strong engagement reflects an increasing awareness of environmental sustainability as well as the importance of holistic personal development.

It is hoped that this programme will serve as one of KTMB’s continuous initiatives in producing students who are not only academically competent but also environmentally conscious, disciplined, and responsible. It is further hoped that similar programmes will be organised in the future with greater student participation, contributing to the development of a sustainable and resilient college community.
