PROGRAM KMB BONDING ORANG ASLI

Serdang, 3 April 2023 - The Volunteering and Mobility Secretariat, the Student Representative Council, Tan Sri Mustaffa Babjee College, the 2022/2023 session has organized a program based on community and community service, the KMB Bonding Orang Asli program, jointly organized with the Department of Indigenous Development (JAKOA) ), Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Nuclear Diagnostic Imaging Center, Sepang District Health Office and Sepang District Dental Health Office. This program was conducted at the open hall, Bukit Bangkong Indigenous Village Sg Pelek Sepang from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm on 19 March 2023. This program was held to give exposure to indigenous villagers to prioritize health care through various examinations and health exhibitions that were conducted for free.
 
The health education program to the Indigenous Village is a volunteer program. This program is themed students concerned about a "Secure Community" which aims to give students the opportunity to learn the culture of life in the indigenous villages. This program was also held with the aim of giving exposure to all indigenous villagers about the importance of health care through a carnival of health exhibitions and free health check-ups, with the cooperation of several government and non-government agencies. Among them are the Selangor State Department of Indigenous Development (JAKOA), Sepang District Dental Clinic, Nutrition Division, Sepang District Health Office of the Ministry of Health Malaysia, Nuclear Diagnostic Imaging Center, Department of Biomedicine and Dietetics, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Universiti Putra Malaysia.
 
In addition to benefiting the local population, through this program, the students can apply the health science knowledge learned by Tan Sri Mustaffa Babjee College students to the outside community. Students are also able to build good relationships with the indigenous people despite different races, religions and cultures. Not only that, students can gain experience carrying out volunteering activities based on community and society. This program also gives students the opportunity to make donations from donations and sponsorships. Donations of 'Bakul Rahmah', electrical appliances from public donations, and some school supplies were also successfully donated to the Indigenous people community in the Bukit Bangkong Orang Asli Village.
 
The Closing Ceremony of KMB Bonding Orang Asli was officiated by Yang Berbahagia. Tuan. B. Chendren Balakrishnan, Sepang District Member of Parliament Special Officer, representing Yang Berbahagia. Mrs. Aiman ​​Atirah Sabu, Sepang District Member of Parliament. Together at the closing ceremony, guests of honor were also present, namely Tok Batin, Perkampungan Orang Asli Bukit Bangkong, Sungai Pelek, Sepang En. Batin Ramun bin Shari, and College Principal Tan Sri Mustaffa Babjee, YBrs. Prof. Associate Dr. Jasronita binti Jasni.
 
 
 
 
This program is also to foster a high spirit of volunteerism in the students of Tan Sri Mustaffa Babjee College and give all participants the opportunity to carry out activities with the Orang Asli population. This program has involved 44 executive committee members and also involved volunteer representatives from UPM Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences students. Among the main activities carried out are health status assessment checks, glucose level readings in the body, cancer screening tests (Ultrasound), free dental check-ups, cooking demos from Nutrition Science Officers, consultation sessions from Medical Officers.
