This initiative is part of an ongoing effort to support the agenda of food security and campus sustainability, in alignment with the university's vision of sustainable development and high-impact education.
Preparations for the program began as early as 4 June 2025, involving the setup of quail cages, cleaning of the farming area, and arranging basic necessities such as food and water containers for the quails. The daily farming activities are conducted consistently in two sessions: in the morning from 7.00 to 7.30 a.m., and in the evening from 6.00 to 6.30 p.m.

Key activities carried out in this program include cleaning the quail cages, refilling water containers, feeding the quails, weighing and calculating the average body weight of the quails, as well as observing their health status regularly. These tasks are not only essential to ensure animal welfare but also serve as a valuable hands-on learning experience for students in the fundamental aspects of small scale livestock management.
