Serdang, 30 August - On 14 and 21 May 2023, the Volunteering and Mobility Secretariat organized a program based on community and community service, the Teach The Needs 5.0 program in collaboration with Sekolah Tunas Bakti Sg. Besi, Kuala Lumpur.

The program that has been implemented at the Tunas Bakti Sg. Besi, Kuala Lumpur aims to share knowledge with students at the school aged between 14 to 18 years who are facing problems in learning by helping them master writing, thinking and reading (3M) skills. It is hoped that this case can help students at the Tunas Bakti Sg School. Besi, Kuala Lumpur to master basic literacy and numeracy skills so that they strive to take part in further learning. This program is the last in the series for the 2022/2023 session.

This program was accompanied by 14 volunteers from the Tan Sri Mustaffa Babjee College and 9 students from the Tunas Bakti School, Sg. Besi, Kuala Lumpur. Among the main activities that have been carried out are reading and writing learning sessions in Malay and English, learning sessions to calculate for add, reject, darab and division operations as well as various interesting activities such as ice-breaking and painting activities.

Concluding the program Teach The Needs this time, the closing inauguration speech by Felo Kolej Tan Sri Mustaffa Babjee, Puan Salasiah binti Mustaffa is a fellow for the Volunteer and Mobility Secretariat. Puan Salasiah also said thanks and gratitude to all MPK ranks who were directly or indirectly involved in making this program successful.

Thousands of thanks are extended to the volunteers of the Tan Sri Mustaffa Babjee College and all parties involved in making the Teach The Needs 5.0 program successful. Hopefully this program can have a positive impact on UPM students to foster good social relations with the local community at the same time hone communication skills and increase self-confidence when interacting with people.
